iPadOS 15 was announced at Apple WWDC 2021 event and brought a plethora of new features to the iPad. The new update encompasses features that make it easier for the user to get more done, become more organized, take performance to the next level, and separate the gap between tablets and computers even further.

iPadOS 15 comes after a well-received upgrade to the iPad Pro in April. The new iPad Pro now has Apple’s M1 chip which is the same processor inside some of Apple's computer lineup. Many consumers felt the M1 chip was giving the iPad an insane amount of power that the software just couldn't take advantage of yet. This is where iPadOS 15 comes in.

Multitasking

One of the most useful features of the new iPadOS 15 is the addition of new multitasking features. There is a new multitasking menu which is displayed by three dots on top of the screen. Pressing the three dots will give the user three options for multitasking layouts. This will allow for two apps to be opened at once and can be displayed in three different ways.
